Inky dark ruby in color. Molasses, oak and menthol on the nose. On the palate cola, cocoa, cedar and spice predominate. Some tannins and light but lingering acid in the finish. The 2010 is still drinking well, but may be on the back side of its quality years.

(Y) $14/glass. A really nice blend.

This is their Monterey red blend with cab, cab frank, malbec, and petit verdot. The nose is molasses, caramel, and dates. On the palate is more molasses, oak, cola, coffee and a some of the signature Monterey mineral notes and a hint of the pepper. The finish is a nice blend of tannins and acid. This is an interesting medium bodied red table wine that I think would pair well with a quiche, herb chicken, grilled lamb, and pork chops.
