Decanted and enjoyed over a few hours. Intense aroma of dark forest fruit, dried plums and herbs, some funk. Taste is well balanced, rich with tart wild raspberries and jam. Long finish. Has a bracing acidity and the slightest fizz that fades by the end of the first glass. Resolves to a nicely balanced acidity with moderate tannins that leave you wanting more. This is my first taste of Clos Saron in several years, and I'm reminded why my mind was blown initially. This won't be an everyday go-to but I appreciate how unique this wine is. Would love to share the next bottle with some open minded friends.

There is a prune note to this wine that isn't overpowering, but it is the thrust of the fruit right now. I have a feeling that this wine is in a bit of an awkward phase right now, but I will look for more from this producer.
