Nov 12th, 2023Gamay from the Auvergne. Volcanic soils.
Day one, you could easily blind mistake this for Listran Negro from the Canary Islands. All rocks, charcoal, and black fruited. Commands the glass.
Day 2, the nose isn’t as effusive, but red fruits are peeking through, bojo style, and the palate has a luxurious, creamy feel.
Brought up in 160L Amphorae for 8 mo.
