Dark chocolate, cherry compote and wild blueberries jump out of the glass on the nose, opening up this medium bodied wine. The color is very dark red, with hints of purple towards the edges. The palate is surprisingly acidic, even after all these years, with notes of crushed ripe red and blue fruits that’s both lingering and energized. The palate leads to a surprisingly mineral finish, but with hints of note like Dr. pepper or cola. Definitely different, not necessarily deep, but very enjoyable.

You know what. I bought this at a wine store in sunny Williamsburg Brookalean. Real nice. Minerals, cherries blended well.
