Meh. The more I drink delightful, reasonably priced reds from more northern/higher elevation regions like etna, the canaries, northwest Spain, the less tolerant I am of Bordeaux, even when biodynamic and “traditional” in style. It still costs twice as much and is half as fun to drink. This may be super young but F having to lay something down for 10 years for it to start being enjoyable. Nice aromas which did not deepen in a major way after the first 10 minutes. aggressive tannins. I’m not sure there is “bargain Bordeaux”

The first impression is of minerality with black currents, blackberries, forest floor and sweet spice firmly seated beneath a fine layer of chalkboard dust. The 2012 Clos du Jaugueyron Haut-Medoc is slightly reserved, trussed in polished, slightly chalky tannins that give way to sweet black fruit at the core. There is perhaps a touch of black tea on the finish and subtle greenness, albeit slight. All in all a pleasant bottle, the fact that the vineyards are Biodynamically farmed and Demeter certified is a plus.
