Great wine. Needs more than an hour for the wine to open but its worth the wait! For under $10 at Trader Joe's you can't beat it.

Define âold vineâ as 50+ years old so says the back label. Color is nice. Hint of purple in the crimson. Sour-ish streak in the smokey and musky nose. Little berry jam there too. Plenty of the jam on the tongue. Smooth and silky too. This is an âas expectedâ wine. A small âfruit-bombâ and a mid to lower shelf style CA red. Itâs a bit too clean and sleek for my preference, but itâs Zinfandel for sure, and it has just enough tannins and bitterness to just keep it from the trappings of syrupy new world reds.
