The nose is brilliant - ripe red cherries, raspberries, herbs and spices that remind one of baking. The palate is bold and rich with those red fruits and tempered perfectly by the oak treatment. Acidity is fresh and the tannins are serviceable enough for a roast tenderloin without getting too much in the way of the sip.

New vintage Zinfandel (“Eight spur”) we tried at Cline Cellars. Medium bodied. Not fruity. We both liked.
