At my girlfriend's friend's house, she says some other friend of a friend stopped drinking and gave her a handful of bottles she had laying around. She pulls this out... 🤔
I can testify to the underrated staying power of zin. In fact this is actually quite young compared to what I enjoyed while working for Bill Easton. But I expect those single vineyard, old vine bottlings to age well. The $10 money-maker non appellation stuff should be dead a decade after bottling, right? Tell that to this wine. It was alive, and it was really good. 💸⌛
