Clayhouse Wines
Red Cedar Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
Every so often you have a moment which makes you rethink. This wine does that with west coast cab. This really flavorful but not over extracted. No ridiculous Oak. The fruit is allowed to shine. Cab the way it should be. Very impressed.

A light California Cabernet nose of blackberries, plums, cherries, licorice, oak, light vanilla, chocolates, herbes, medium roasted coffee and black pepper.
Medium bodied with medium acidity and nice legs.
Fruity on the palate with plums, cherries, strawberries, currants, vanilla, licorice, earth, spices, peppercorn, leather, smoke, chocolates and spices.
Medium finish with soft tannins and tart cranberries.
An easy drinking red wine from Paso Robles, California. Simple and enjoyable by itself, or with food.
This Single Vineyard is not fully balanced and not one for aging, so drink now. Nice acidity at the ending for some interesting finish.
Grapes are grown on clay soil, fermented for 2 weeks, and aged for 9 months in steel and oak barrels.
13.5% alcohol by volume.

Good for a cab. Nothing special. Had it with fish for dinner now we're sitting out by the pool enjoying the weather.
