Claudio Alario's first vintage of "Sorano" - and one of my most favourite vintages ever: 2004! Kudos for this effort! The nose is beguiling with wild flowers, spices and dried fruits. In the palate i get a juicy mouthfeel with ripe prunes, seaberry, licorice candy, roasted coffee & a bit of incense. Silky vivid tannins mingle with all this and make this wine have a remarlably beautiful balance. So good to drink now, but the this is just getting started! This wine to me is a reasln why I find that 2004 is a splendid mix between 2006 & 2007.
