The notes from my last tasting still apply. This is delicious but the corks are all fully soaked and my last remaining bottles won't last much longer. Still a treat to cherish for now!

After tasting aux chaillots 2014 last week and seeing that fully soaked cork I went on and opened one aux damodes in the same vintage. I believe it's my very last bottle...
The nose is showing a bit of age with strawberry and cherry notes, hay and that irony thing I like so much with Pinot Noir from burgundy. There is almost a rusty touch in the nose that makes me think that we shouldn't be waiting some more to pop and pour this one. The palate is superb. Good acid drive, superb fruity notes all along with cherry and strawberry playing hide-and-seek all along, superb mid palate with a layer of tannins that disrupts a rather easy going, fruity palate so far, and a finish with fruit and that nice layer created in mid palate for a good while. It's fresh, it's fruity, it has a touch of complexity and character you could expect from.a wine with this pedigree. Awesome!

A fully soaked cork made me very anxious upon opening this bottle to be paired with a bœuf bourguignon that I spent the whole morning preparing.
Upon opening there's a bit of wet carton and wet forest soil scent. Uh oh. After a while the carton smell goes away but the mushroom, wet forest soil and mostly tertiary aromas are predominant. It looks like this wine aged too fast. The palate is showing a strong acid backbone with very limited cherry notes on the side, there is a good width with some matter on the sides, gentle tannins with a bit of a drying effect and a rather long finish with a bit of heat, some menthol, a bit of cherry and a hint of raspberries. It's not showing great at this point and I fear that my other bottles might experience the same.

A fully soaked cork starting to pop out was making me fear a corked / dead wine. But it's not! Cherry, iron, hay, earth on the nose. Typical burgundy pinot noir from a nice terroir. The palate is fresh and acid driven but shows some width and density with cherry notes and a subtle, almost silky touch on the sides. Some lovely tannins too spice things up before a very long finish with fruit and that fresh, acid consistent marker. Other bottles turnt out better recently and the cork issue might have accelerated the aging process but it's still very good and tasty!

Hay, rose petals, cherry, nice classical burgundy nose. The palate is very nice, on the sweet side of burgundy with a strong acid backbone, some nice cherry blossoming all around, a soft and welcoming touch on the border, gentle tannins and a looonggg finish with fruit. You gotta love the style but if you do, this is great. I love it

Nose of rose petals, cherry, raspberry, vanilla. The palate is wonderful with a splendid balance between fruits (cherry, raspberry), acidity and tannins (that roll) . The finish goes for ever with slight notes of vanilla and raspberry. Very delicate, subtle and noble burgundy. I love it
