Christian Cholet-Pelletier
Puligny-Montrachet
@Delectable this is Domaine Christian Cholet-Pelletier Pulgny-Montrachet.
White Burgundy & white cheeses...all in.
Beautiful, round, lush with viscosity. Honey, stone fruits-natural & some dry, apricot dry dominate pineapple flesh, lemon, lime zest, slightly bruised pear, granular minerals, chalk, white spice with hints to white pepper, sea fossils, saline, teasing brown sugar, touch of old woodiness with yellow flowers, greens, jasmine & spring flowers with perfect dripping acidity and a beautifully balanced, smartly polish finish with excellent taste guild and excellent persistence.
Really prefer the 12-13% ABV. This is 13%.

First time having this largely under the radar producer in the US.
The nose reveals; lots of green and golden apple, Meyer lemon, lime candy, ripe pineapple, touch of white peach, green melon, butter, cream, honeysuckle, waxy notes, caramel, sea fossils, saline, mixed greens, light herbaceous notes, limestone, white spice, citrus blooms and yellow lilies.
The body is full, rich, lush and waxy. It has excellent mouthfeel. Especially, at around $40. Green and golden apple, Meyer lemon, lime candy, ripe pineapple, touch of white peach, green melon, butter, buttered popcorn, cream, honeysuckle to full honey, waxy notes, caramel, sea fossils, saline, mixed greens, light herbaceous notes, limestone, gritty/edgy, gray, volcanic minerals, really nice, powdery chalkiness, more white spice on the palate with some heat, citrus blooms and yellow lilies. The round acidity is beautiful. The long, rich, lush, waxy, rich, nicely balanced finish persists endlessly. Excellent wine for the money. Just misses 94.
Happy 4th of July eve to everyone in the US.

Thanks @Max Kogod for the money you can't beat this baby batard. Lovely expression of puligny. Great focus and beautifully clean / ripe fruit. I would not hesitate to buy this again. What a great find from kogod wine merchant
