This things all over the place. It's drinkable only if you like to get freaky. Very very warm climate and aged qualities. This thing is over-cloved. Faint black licorice and VA nail polish. Did someone age this with fig newtons?? It seems old world regarding the fruit, but like baked blueberries and brambly wood. Need anymore funky notes? Sage. Pot roast. Pinch of chewing tobacco for ya. Not gonna lie this wine would be amazing if I just cooked a steak and did nothing to it. But I don't think there's enough people in the world who enjoy what this is. And my rating doesn't justify it because you could argue that it's either a masterpiece of this AVA or scum and there's really no in between. $20. Try it. Super interesting.
