This was a nice surprise, a basic CNdP bought recently at auction that probably only cost a few euros on release. Featuring an effusive nose of macerated cherry, iron, dates and blood orange, the palate is less spectacular but pleasant nonetheless, quite charming on entry but quickly fading. I cooked roast shoulder of lamb tonight with a lavender jus, and this was an apt pairing.
Edit: on night two, this had opened up and was a tremendous wine
