2010 Chateau Z Matohie #Virginia #Vawine. 1/3 Norton, 2/3 Bourquiniana. WOW! I swear if you blind tasted this wine you would think it's warm climate Pinot noir. Violet and rose petal aromas plus overripe cherry, jammy raspberry and slight pepper and spice notes. Fresh and lively and soft. Amazing stuff. #wine #sommelier#sommelier#sommelier #somm #unique #obscure #experimental

2009 Chateau Z Matohie blend. 1/3 Norton, 2/3 Bourquiniana. Bourquiniana are old natural hybrids wild grapes and Europeans grapes widely cultivated in colonial America. Bright, black cherry, wild berry, black raspberry with hints of leather and vanilla spice. Just a little wild and foxy. Lively and fresh finish.
