Honestly, the Argentine Malbec’s are king, but this French Cahors ain’t bad. The nose was especially nice. Tannins definitely show up early. Black berries are powerfully up front. Not much chocolate and not much licorice. Aftertaste is totally PLUM and pepper.

I should’ve known that a Cahors that chose to bill itself as Malbec would be kind of bland.
