30 minutes open in the bottle. Dark cherry, tar, and a little barnyard on the nose. Not a ton of flavor and a little bitterness. Easy to drink and more Napa like than French. Medium finish. For £19 it was very nice, although the nose is a big tease.

Still a bit of freshness for this not that big of a deal bdx...2001 was better than the 2000! On a rabbit with mustard it did a great job!

1989. This is a small cru bourgeois from a big year and I found it delicious. Very integrated (12.5%) abv and freshness that is not fading. If this is what cru bourgeois are doing at 27 year l can't imagine when the 95s and 2000s will be ready. Drank at Jacobs and Co steakhouse (great dry aged steaks btw)
