Black currant and earth. A bit of tar too and a meaty thing. Some oak too. The palate is well made with a strong acid backbone which makes it very fresh. There is a bit of oak too which can be a bit annoying after a while. It's still young. There isn't much happening on the width but there are some nice tannins kicking in in the rear. It makes everything a bit crazier, a bit drying, a bit of bitterness, some meaty juice along with black currant. This is a nice finish. Not the best Saint estephe ever, could have gained to be a bit more concentrated, surely a bit too young but a good effort for a second wine.

Can’t put my finger on it but I assume it’s just too young. It’s heavy, acidic, earth-based. You can tell it’s well-made, but I find it left me wanting something. It is very unbalanced. Would be interested in revisiting in 5+ years.
