Vintage 2006, lots of character in this wine from merlot, very true to type, nice red fruits in the smell, a bit stubborn after opening but gains roundness and friendliness after a few hours aeration. Gives pleasure. Very sound wine.

Baked blueberry with black strap molasses, parsley and living green grass. Clay and fresh turned earth. An odd dried black lime element, and baklavian honey. Gripping, though sporadic tannins, almost rustic, but oddly symphonic, like Brian Eno mud wrestling John Cage. Medium mouthfeel, with cranberry speckling the blueberry and cocoa and a honeysuckle note playing peek-a-boo.
