Time for my #FridayCabernetfix Here is a nice one from Columbia Valley.

A pretty color of dark purple with a wide purplish rim.

Light nose of blackberries, black plums, black cherries, vanilla, spices, peppercorn, light vegetables, pencil lead, tobacco, dark chocolates, mocha and earth.

Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity and long long legs.

Dry on the palate with plums, black currants, sweet cherries, wood, licorice, spices, dark chocolates, vanilla, earth, coffee cola, light vegetables, pencil lead and peppercorn.

Medium plus on the finish with fine tannins and tangy raspberries.

This Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is starting to drink nicely, although a few years in the bottle would be a good idea.

A little light on the nose even after 2 hours of airtime. Spicy with mild complexity, a great mouthfeel and nice balance.

Good right out of the bottle and good for parties. A good sipping wine too.

Aged for 20 months in French and American oak barrels.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

Lots of plum and baking spices. Really plump and full. It’s simple and easy, not challenging, also not incredibly rewarding but... hey, you know what: it’s tasty. A real crowd pleaser.

Fruity nose with black currants, black plums, cherry pie, spices, oak, vanilla, mint, chocolates, dark coffee, black pepper, earth and leather.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This Washington Cabernet Sauvignon is always enjoyable. Well balanced with nice complexity and a great mouthfeel. I really liked the length on the finish.

Good right out of the bottle and better as it opens up (one hour), and shows the complexity.

Drinking very nicely now and will be better in a couple of years.

On the nose there's a lot of Earth and dark fruit, perhaps blackberries? The palate has a lot of raspberry blackberry and some spice. Quite tasty and a good buy.
