Others have said it better than I will. This is a "where's the beef" moment. How it rated highly with professionals is beyond me other than the cash-cow marketing capability of a Chateau Ste Michelle. Is it horrible? No, not at all. Is it memorable? Not a bit. Someone said it had a short middle which perfectly describes this wine. Zero finish and as complex as a piece of paper, and while there is spice in the nose, and it is loaded upfront if you let it sit, it disappears immediately. With such an amazing selection of affordable "everyday" reds, I cant think of any reason to revisit this. I let the wine breath considerably before trying it over two evenings. Perhaps aging would help, but that is likely wishful thinking.
