Founded in 1973 in the Sonoma Valley, Chateau St. Jean produces an extensive portfolio of Sonoma County wine, including the award winning Cinq Cépages, a Bordeaux style blend of “five varieties." Dark red with black fruit aromas and spice. On the palate jammy flavors of blackberry and cherry with cacao and tobacco. Tannins are grainy with high acidity on medium finish.

V13. Nice wine value. Beautiful raspberry and cedar nose. Fresh, bright black currant and plum fruit. Smooth, clean slightly tight , leather finish.

Blackberries and currant leap from the glass. Chewy, meaty and full-bodied. While a notch below the special 2012 vintage, this is still gorgeous in its own right and a serious buy at $20 for both beginners and enthusiasts. Stock up.
