Château Signac Côtes du Rhône Pliocène 2018, France

#kosherWineSunday

This is a nice and spicy Grenache based blend from Cotes du Rhône.

Pretty ruby in color with a wide reddish rim and medium intensity.

Dry on the palate and spicy.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Showing blueberries, sweet raspberries, cherries, spices, light oak, dark chocolates, coffee, peppercorn, earth, black tea, wet leaves and bitter herbs.

Spicy finish with soft tannins.

This five year old is drinking nicely now. Easy drinking and good right out of the bottle.

I had it almost 4 years ago, and it is peaking now.

Good by itself or with food. Paired nicely with the Brie cheese with truffles.

A blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah. Kosher.

14% alcohol by volume.

88 points.

$22.
