Surprised to see such low ratings for this wine. I find it balanced, opening up quickly and very approachable. Certainly not a Grand Cru but a nice table wine.

Day 1, this is pretty green and savory- showing its cab franc with aromas of bell pepper and tomato. This subsides eventually to reveal some nice ripe cherry and plum, with good savory mineral notes. Great acidity and smooth tannins are in great balance. By day two everything is working together and this is drinking really nicely. Drinkable and balanced, I'm loving it for the price.

Very good. Well balanced. Medium tannins. Rich dense flavored and hints of vanilla

After drinking a lot of Bordeaux merlot, this montagne saint émilion is just perfect! One of the cheaper wine at trader joe, around 12$. Definitely a good value for the bucks!!!

Sold out my ass. It's a bargain at TJs. This 2008 well balanced Bordeaux blend value is still improving, & bound to catch up with Chateau de La Riviera 2007, so lay it down for a year as you will be rewarded.

Clearly there are mixed reviews. Maybe the consistency is not there. The bottle I had was rock solid French red. Do you hear the people sing!?! #daydrinking

Ruby in color with a light burgundy/ brick rim.

Light nose of blueberries, cherries, red currants, earth, wet rocks, mint, tobacco, vegetables, wood and black pepper.

Medium bodied with medium plus acidity and nice legs.

Dry on the palate with plums, blueberries, cranberries, oak, earth, bitter herbs, spices, vegetables, pencil lead and black pepper.

Medium finish with round tannins and spices.

This a very easy drinking red wine from Saint Émilon. Well balanced and enjoyable by itself or with food.

Tangy and spicy, simple and earthy. This was a great vintage in Bordeaux, and this wine comes at a great price.

Good right out of the bottle and better as it opens up (1 hour). Tannins come in after 90 minutes in a decanter.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

2001 right on the money. Some fresh fruit still present and also some classic aged bordeaux profile. Really nice balance and a drinking sweet spot.

This wine is a testament to the “buy the vintage” concept. Back when I couldn’t really afford cellear-able wines, I heard that 2010 was a great vintage for a Bordeaux and bought this at Trader Joe’s. I kept it cellared until now. The wind poured a deep, reddish purple in the glass. I aerated it and let it sit for nearly an hour after that. Although its nose was moderate, the flavors were fantastic. Strawberry, cranberry, other dried fruit. The tannins were intense. With a fairly decent finish. This is all I could hope for from a bottle of Bordeaux. I will probably be revisiting this winery, since it’s so easy through Trader Joe’s. The wine was a perfect accompaniment to the grass fed ribeye steaks we paired it with. Talk about a great deal for just probably $12-$13 at Trader Joe’s. #bordeauxrouge #saintemilion #redwine #traderjoes #rightbank #rightbankbordeaux
