This bottle dates from our period of infatuation with Sauternes, before we realized that one bottle is too big for any but the biggest or rowdiest dinner parties..... Our table of nine failed to finish it last night. Now a stylish and distinguished older citizen, oxidation not a problem despite the very brown color.
