An excellent wine from a really tough vintage. Pale enough in color to pass for a rosé but lacking no substance. Raspberry cordial, hibiscus, sweet baking spices.

Though 2002 was a rain-drenched washout for the Southern Rhone, the top producers like Rayas still make tasty wines. This was soft and lean, but still very elegant and floral.
