The ‘16 rocks, this much less so. Not enough stuffing leaves barrel flavors and textures in focus. Strawberry / plum character underneath. Maybe time will do it good

Red and black berries, oak, a bit of licorice and guarigue too. The palate is rather balanced but not impressive. Strong acid frame, red and black berries all along, some width, unresolved tannins that tend to be bit harsh and a rather typical pic Saint loup fresh finish with berries. A bit too oaky for my taste but went perfectly well with a pulled duck meal with curry vegetable.

Aug 10th, 2019Lighter version of pic saint loup. Cherry, red berries on the nose. The palate is rather vertical than horizontal with that trademark freshness but without the density. Quick finish on sour cherry notes. Easy
