Château Puech-Haut
Bosc Negre Coteaux du Languedoc Saint-Drézéry Syrah Blend

Pretty good the first night. Really liked it the second night.

I always say " let a wine be the wine that it is." So why do I want this wine to have some time in oak? Thats not what it is. This wine was rated a 93 by Wine Advocate so I let my personal definition of "highly rated wine" shape my thoughts as I tasted it. 55% Grenache and 45% Syrah in concrete tanks. That's going to provide a much fruitier wine. I'm getting blackberry cobbler with light sugar. That's the nose and the front end flavors followed by a hint of white pepper and light tannins.
