Just opened. Too soon to judge fully because I know it will open up in a few hours and days. Initial assessment is smells cab like but the mouth feel is a little furry and not as fruity as the nose portrayed. The oxidation will help tremendously. — 7 years ago
As a week night Pinot I think it's excellent. Soft but with structure. Fruit and earth (cooler climate comes through). Day one was very tight. Second day delivered. Trader Joe's $10 — 7 years ago
Man, I should have bought a case if this. Everything a good Pinot should be. — 8 years ago
Very good on balance. Nothing that wows you but well done by the growers and winenmaker. — 7 years ago
UPDATE: You can see my original post below. Wine was much better on day 2. Upgraded my rating from a 7.5 to an 8.6. Softened and balanced now. Would buy again.
Not the greatest. Alcohol is too hot. I'm a fan of Folie a Deux and Dry Creek is my fav zin appellation so disappointed it fell short. — 7 years ago
Has it all. Wonderful balance. Fresh red fruit with leather and liquorice finish. Enjoyed with tiramisu. Great match! — 8 years ago
Found this for 6.99 in Troy Alabama at a gas station on my way to the beaches of 30A. My rating does reflect that price, but how wonderful to find a true Pinot Noir inside a roadside gas station. Forest floor with soft and sour fruit and a pop of freshness throughout. — 7 years ago
First taste an hour after opening. Light in color, nose and taste. But, a solid wine. Excellent structure throughout. Hints of cherry, tobacco and a little roasted pork. — 7 years ago
There's amazing zin. Balanced with a pop of freshness that carries into soft blueberries with a touch of sour. All giving great structure to the wine. This wine has those elements but they're all a bit muted. You can sense them well enough and the price makes this wine a must buy in my opinion. — 8 years ago
