May 31st, 20202012 threw a big precipitation and funk on opening but settled into a settled Margaux with plenty of blackberries green peppers and a bunch of violets tossed in to keep the lonely lockdown punters smiling

Beautiful dark ruby color with very nice aromas of black fruits, oak, and hint of wet clay on the nose. Medium-to-full-bodied coupled with pleasant taste of blackcurrant, blackberry, coffee, a soft touch of spice on the palate. Smooth and firm tannins, medium acidity, and soft aftertaste at the end. Must let it breath at least one hour before drinking. Love it very much.

Typical powerful balanced grand cru classes from Margaux Cantenac. Not the best year or blend that this fine house has produced. Still ... it's a very nice blend... a bit heavier and not as round as I expected.

One of my very favorite Bordeauxs. Delicate, soft, violates, cassis, tobacco 2012 and tannins are already soft enough to drink it now.
