Seemed to just be opening up after about two hours. Probably should have decanted.

Nice mature Bordeaux. Good balance. Currant and leather with good minerality. A bit muted, however, suggesting it may have passed its peak.

Feel priviliged to have such a well developed, classic, complete and delicious Bordeaux in the daily-drinker-cabinet. Still a beauty, after all those years...

Still holding up great. This is one of the best wines in this crappy vintage and a genuine overachiever! Smoke, coffee, pinch of poop in the nose. A sip reveals vanilla, fading black fruit, clay and comfortable acidity. Very good stuff!

Poujeaux makes the very most of a terrible vintage. Freshness still there, cranberry, earth and beautiful acidity. Very gulpable.
