Deep garnet with a touch of ruby. A bit mute to start on the nose with damp forest floor, some dark spices and dark red berries. Medium tannins (6.5/10) and medium plus bodied. Love the palate with dark berries, a touch of spices, graphite, cassis, some animal nuances, and gravel. Long and lingering finish. A bit depressing to start but builds up with some air and truly opens up. Drink till 2023.
