Vintage 2020 | from 0,8 ha in Chaume | Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon 35 y old | 12 m barrel and amphora aging | while the reds from mid Loire like Saumur, Bourgueil and Chinon can have a natural charm, the Anjou wines play hard to get. A certain harshness, rusticity is very typical. I like that. Even with 5 hours in Decanter this red with nice red fruit and some cedar is not ‘easy’. It is just character. | paired with a rib eye.
