The nose here is considerably more powerful than on the ’04 or ’06. This has evolved nicely showing a darker fruit profile than the other two wines with wild blackberry cordial, peat moss, cigar ash and coffee grounds on the nose. The palate is both refined and shows a good texture and viscosity. Mocha, anise, creme de cassis, and hucklbebery flavors come to mind. I love the combination of tension and richness on the mid-palate. The Merlot in this wine seems to be shining particularly brightly. This will cellar well for another decade or more, but it is drinking marvelously right now. Drink 2018-2033- 93

1/2 bottle, gift to self. Still tight? A lovely elegant cedar box of a thing

Exactly what I expected: varying degrees of multi faceted layers of complexity. Went fantastic with a succulent steak and intellectual company. Wonderful!

375ml bottle-dark brick red, wood has evolved into a nice sandlwood-y, asian spice notes. Not profound but utterly enjoyable

Red and blue fruit singing with an earthy, pencil lead driven accompaniment. Delish!

Good great Bordeaux nose this isn’t going to be long-lived but very good at 14 years of age. Light crushed raspberry some black pepper a bit of alcohol heat and nice lavender finish
