Sauternes White Bordeaux Blend

Poured from 3-liter. A solid cost effective sweet wine for a foie pairing. #NYE

From a half bottle. Quite lovely but very young as it lacked thickness and concentration. Excellent honey and apricot flavors. Much better than my first experience with this wine. Decent value.

Opened the 2001 which had a deep amber color, first came across as a sherry, then kept developing complex aromas and flavors. First impressions were that it was beyond its prime, but what it was expressing was pretty damn interesting. Orange peel, apricot, hazelnuts, and some hard to describe medicinal quality like camphor with hints of lavender honey.

Dried apricot on the nose. Bright and fresh not cloying.excellent stickie

Beautiful golden hue, velvet texture, slightly medicinal, complex
