Oaky but not smoky nor earthy. Round tannin, high acidity. For me, Valmaggiore is better.

Drinking nicely 20!years out. Terrific value for a St. Estephe second wine from the same team that runs Lynch Bages and ages well.

Celebrating National Drink Wine Day! Bottle was double decanted and pour. Color is a purple with browning on the edges. Nose is a floral dark red fruit lingering with a cedar forest floor. Taste is red plum and blueberry and some vanilla in the middle with a finish of cedar and tobacco and very light tannins. Nice and light and drunks well. Enjoying it with pizza and pretzels.

Feb 18th is National drink wine day!!!!!!So, of course we must partake. Double decant and pour(some decent sediment). Medium red/purple color. On the nose: green veggie, violets, red fruit, forest floor, cedar. Taste: raspberry, plum, vanilla, wet gravel, tobacco. Medium light finish.

Cazes family of Lynch Bages own this Chateau.
