Château Ormes de Pez
Saint-Estèphe Red Bordeaux Blend
St. Estèphe, Médoc, Bordeaux, France
Drinking beautifully right now... so much damp earthiness and leather, stewed mushrooms, soft tannins. Still a surprising amount of juicy dark fruit to make it a wonderful food wine. Let this one sit in your glass for a bit or gently decant to let it show all of its personality. It paired perfectly with Coq au Vin and toasted bread.

Jan 13th, 2025Delicious and voluptuous. Could still age a few years with the remaining acidity and tanins. Round and lengthy, a delight

Jun 9th, 2018CVed 9/15/17 comp KS Pauillac. Lovely nose of violets and mature black fruit with some earthy funk. Great balance and streak of minerals or rocks on palate and long enticing finish. Should revisit Bordeaux! Opened 1/13/25 and it’s still great!
