I love finding a great wine from a poor vintage and here is one. Beautifully clean in the glass, vibrant, deep colour with a rounded inviting perfumed nose. Very smooth on the palate, tannins are fully integrated and a savoury start of peppers and truffle gives way to fruit, cedar, lavender and leather. Very drinkable and enjoyable, probably at the peak of its window given the vintage. As a side note, Chateau Nenin has aged this at their cellars until 2017 before shipping . Recommended if you’re having a Bordeaux night.
