Château Musar
Bekaa Valley Carignan
By far the rarest Musar bottle I’ve tasted, the 1989 Carignan. Completely evolved and overflowing with tertiary character. Caramelized aromas of toasted hazelnuts, prunes, dried flowers and orange peel. Unique wine that makes a serious case for Carignan. Once again the freshness and elegance on the palate is in remarkable (almost mind-boggling) contrast to the nuts & raisins aromatic profile. Musar is a great enigma, but I can’t help but love it.
