It's decanted and ready for you @Bill Bender, the only question is: Where are you?

Popped and poured; enjoyed over a red sauce pasta night at home. High shoulder fill, but the cork completely disintegrated during removal. Juice is still drinking exceptionally well; shockingly fresh for being 40. Tons of black fruit and strong spices, with its age showing via expected tobacco and leather notes. Very structured via strong tannins and acidity; long and smooth / velvety finish...meaning this still has room to run. Cheers!

1985 vintage. Toast. Stewed tomato. Likely storage issue early on. Framework was there for something interesting. Hopefully next time.
