Drank 12/26/18. 2 hour decant. Excellent with a Ribeye.

Nose of blackberry, earth, coffee bean, and black cherry. Flavors of cassis, earth, leather, ripe blackberry, plums, and mocha backed by medium, well integrated tannins. Full bodied black fruit on the finish, which glides on for around a minute. Exquisite balance. Can drink now and over the next 10+ years. An impressive showing for an average year.

3/22/9/5/5 + 50 = 94 pts.

This is why I love Bordeaux! $40 bottle tastes like $100! Lovely dark red color with purple and maroon rims. Classic Bordeaux nose of cedar, rust, flowers, and subtle cow shit. Aged cherries, anise, cedar, and lilacs on the palate. Lovely texture that coats and sticks. Medium plus depth and finish. Really good!

Good aroma with oak and matured fruits flavor. Still has angle. But full body and good potential for aging. 30min, extremely good aroma came! This is same with 2001 vintage! Decanting should be necessary, 1 hour, it started turning to be much better in its taste. Even young, but we can enjoy 3 steps change in 3 hours. @1840, Winona - XH , 181015-181129
