Angélique St. Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend

Deep opaque purple-garnet.
Black cherry vanilla nose.
Thick, tart, bitter on mid, astringent finish.
Needs time or protein.
A bit over extracted.

Corked :(

Very impressive second wine from a great vintage. Blueberry, plum, eucalyptus, cocoa, and light black pepper. Quite powerful on the palate, and the tannins has softened a bit compared to 2 years ago. This will have a long drinking window.

Cassis with red and black berry flavors. Licorice and ganache on the finish.

Bought this at local wine store and was extremely disappointed. Just wasn’t good. Bad even.

Mineral-flavored, tannic, and complex aspect that would compliment a dense protein.

There wasn’t a whole lot going on with this wine but it was enjoyable with a nice balance of fruit and secondary minerals/earth.
