Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend

2016 vintage. Cabernet Sauvignon (65%), Merlot (30%), Petit Verdot (3%) and Cabernet Franc (2%). Small 6,5 hectares estate. Charmless, overly bitter and totally drying. A shame in such a great vintage. Classified as Cru Bourgeois, one wonders why. I sincerely hope there is something wrong with this bottle.

Straightforward and enjoyable with lamb stew and cheese

Love the 2016!

Light/medium mouthfeel, dry on the tongue with undertone of blackberry. Drinking it alone, but would pair with pate, salmon, duck, chicken and perhaps a cassoulet

Very French and robust, delicious. Definitely a food wine.

Yum. Possibly my best red blend to date. Smooth and full-bodied without being overly sweet.

Smooth on the palate. Gentle last. Not sweet not dry. “Goldilocks” wine= just right.
