Dark ruby in color with a reddish/light brick rim.

Medium-plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with nice complexity.

Showing plums, cooked cherries, spices, oak, coffee, licorice, tobacco leaf, vegetables, herbs and black tea.

This Merlot based blend, from the great 2018 vintage, is drinking very nicely now. Nicely balanced with nice mouthfeel.

Good right out of the bottle, and better after an hour of airtime.

This 7 year old is drinking at its peak, and will continue to drink nicely in the next 5 years.

Good by itself or with food.

It’s time for some Merlot on this #MerlotThursday. Let's bring Merlot back!

Dark ruby in color with a reddish rim.

A pretty nose of blueberries, black plums, stewed cherries, light cedar, wildflowers, chocolates, earth, herbs, spices, tobacco leaf, and black pepper.

Medium-plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.

Very dry on the palate with plums, cherries, light oak, spices, dark chocolates, coffee, earth, black tea, tobacco leaf, herbs, and peppercorn.

Medium length on the finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.

This six-year-old Merlot from Bordeaux is drinking very nicely now. Tangy and spicy. Interesting and complex. Soft and smooth.

I had this vintage 4 years ago, and it is drinking even better now. Drinking at its peak, and will continue to drink nicely in the next 5 years.

Needs an hour in the decanter to open up, but improves significantly after 2 hours.

A very typical Right Bank Bordeaux. Easy to drink and enjoyable by itself or with food.

A blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

It's time for some Merlot on this #MerlotThursday.

Dark ruby in color with a short reddish rim.

On the nose black currants, black cherries, black plums, oak, spices, light vanilla, licorice, pencil lead, coffee, chocolates, earth, light vegetables, herbs and black pepper.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with currants, black cherries, earth, oak, licorice, coffee, vegetables, peppercorn, black tea, graphite and bitter herbs.

Spicy finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.

This young Bordeaux is starting to drink nicely now, although still very young.

Fruit forward with nice complexity and a soft mouth feel. Feels very true to the terroir.

Good right out of the bottle and better as it opens up. Structure and complexity come in after 30 minutes of airtime.

This 2018 was a great vintage, and it is showing. Nice to see that this young Bordeaux is already approachable. Will age nicely in the next 7 years.

Good by itself or with food. I paired it meats and cheeses. Really nice with the aged Brie cheese.

A blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. Bottled 2 years after harvest.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

90 points.

Served at a dear friend's rehearsal dinner. Soft tannins and vibrant fruit. Uncomplicated and approachable. May the marriage be likewise.
