Château Maucaillou
Moulis en Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend
Cru Bourgeois Superieurs. This is second time following 2012. Beautiful garnet color, of which colored level is 20 years vintaged. Aroma is also very complexed with dry grass and leather like. Tanning is rounded. Still enough acid. 1 hour decanting would make it really good for everyone. @7500, Enoteca-JH, 170730-170802

Jul 30th, 2017Colour: slightly transparent, light ruby, brick-stone on the rims
Nose: Distinctive herbaceousness of cabernet plus a bit of merlot sweetness and roundness. Blackcurrant leaves. Green tobacco, and hint of anise. Elegant and manly wine. On the fruit side, blackcurrant and raspberry.
Palate: fine and elegant tannins quite light, a bit watery in the mouth. Good acidity level and quite soft and subtle. Elegant for sure, but maybe lacks a bit of character.
