Woody taste. Is that Sandalwood? The bouquet is certainly suggestive. No tannins to speak of but I like the mouthfeel.

Don't really get any of the red miso everyone's talking about. I do get a ton of strawberry and black pepper aromas tho. Pretty great wine all around.

This is really not working for me. It's got an umami miso thing going on--first Bi-Rite recco I haven't liked in a while. Different for sure.

Lush, ripe fruits tempered by forward black pepper, with cool anise and fennel hanging nearby. Softly structured with delicate acidity. Savory toward the end. A little iron. Very nice.
