Chateau Margene
Cabernet Sauvignon
A ruby red cab. The finish of this cab is what resonates. A long finish. Prune notes, dark cherry. Cocoa.

Feb 19th, 2019I'm no fan of Paso cabs, but this one works in a pinch. Wouldn't buy at the list price though.

Jan 23rd, 2015Nice central coast cab, haven’t drank this since the random coastal meetup with @Ryan Colthorp ten-ish years ago!

Jan 1st, 2024Smell is unique. There is something a little unusual about the smell. Like muted grape juice with some Funk. Smoke. Vanilla. Something potentially familiar that I can’t id. Taste is good. A bit of dark bright fruit. There is good balance between the fruit and the structure of the wine. There is a little bit of sweetness. Maybe raspberry. 8.9+. Definitely less fruit/sweetness than your typical Paso wine

Jul 29th, 2018Aged well for a 2006. I recall it being superb in 2010. Can't rely on memory though.
