Think comments seem to nail it. A decent table wine Bordeaux. Easy drinking, bit of an oakiness to it but pretty smooth drinking to the point of being slightly bland.

I have to agree with some of the other reviewers: fairly basic, but well-balanced Bordeaux. There is some cool, old-world funk in the nose, but the flavor is simply good company. For a French wine, nothing offensive, but nothing challenging either.
