Supérieur Red Bordeaux Blend

Simple and very agreeable basic Right Bank Bordeaux. 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc. For the area it’s a high percentage of cab sauvignon giving black cherry, plum and soft leather notes. Soft tannins, some forest floor on the finish. Already drinking well- no reason to cellar, enjoy it now.

Label sets expectations too high for what's inside

Serviceable under 20 bucks Bordeaux

This wine needed to breathe for about 60 min (or more) before enjoying. Color and flavor darken with time. Soft tannins and light berry flavor. Paired well with seared salmon with fig glaze and Greek orzo salad.
