Nose: surprisingly yeasty, smells more Italian than French. Old leaves, fermenting vegetables. Barnyard. Alcohol. The tiniest bit of oak in the background. I think it may be a bit past its prime. Taste: anonymous red wine, a little prune and cooked vegetable-y, distinct olive brine. Similar to the nose, but milder. Don’t care for it, but fine for $8. 81.
